We are recruiting new highly motivated, enthusiastic people with specialist skills and the experience to offer sensitive support to our clients.

 

ADULT CARERS SERVICES MANAGER -

You will be an experienced and forward thinking manager with the ability to develop and lead high quality services and represent the organisation at senior level in this new post. You will have a good broad knowledge of issues and policy affecting carers.

 

Full time - 35 hours per week. Salary £31,400pa

YOUNG CARERS PLAY COORDINATOR

 

We require a reliable, well organised leader, with excellent ability to engage with children, to work with young carers aged 5 to 12. You must have at least 2 years experience of working with children and be qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 in playwork or childcare.

Part time - 24 hours £16,800pa (£24,500 pro rata)

Volunteering for CSM

There are a number of volunteering opportunities available at CSM. You can give your time to help carers in the following ways:

Admin Volunteers - role includes admin, telephone work, helping to facilitate sub groups, getting involved in providing advice and information etc.

Therapy Volunteers - we are always on the look out qualified volunteers who are able to offer therapies (massage/aromatherapy/reiki etc) to Carers

Befrienders - we are currently looking for befrienders to help support carers, but particularly carers of people with mental health issues - volunteers will be fully trained

Youth work - volunteers can get involved in the Young Carers Project in the following ways:

  • Drivers - Mini buses are used to pick up/drop off young carers to/from their home and club.
  • Escorts - escorts accompany the driver in the mini bus
  • Helpers - to support the group setting up/clearing away and assisting the leaders to run the activities at the club/day tip/event
